Tuesday April 9th, 2008. The Brittany shore, despite the hoards of foragers, was productive. We found plenty of good oysters and I christened my new 1.2 metre shrimping net. It's a bit early for shrimps but I caught a few. The by-catch is always interesting, but especially so here on a foreign shore; little spidery spider-crabs, a few other crabs new to me, and baby mullet. The bigger oysters were good raw but we had plenty left over to make a big pan of seafood stew with the shrimps, limpets, whelks and winkles.
